Subject suggestion was “Lost/Bad Robot.”
SAMMY DANCIN’ JR.
UNCLE BUCK. One of the one-hour drawings I’ve been doing, available for purchasing by you right here. All the ones thus far are here. Subject suggestion for this one was “John Candy.” Secret that I will share between us, only us: I have never seen Uncle Buck. Not even a little bit of it.
RON SWANSON: LOVER OF EGGS, BACON. One of the one-hour drawings I’ve been doing, available for purchasing by you right here. All the ones thus far are here. Subject suggestion: “Ron Swanson, ‘Give me all the bacon and eggs you have.’” I know that’s a specific Parks & Rec reference, but I didn’t want to just draw that scene. This also let me repurpose a sketch I made years ago, from the episode where Ron Swanson gets a shoeshine.
I’ve spent all day inking 18 different drawings for a big history map illustration for a magazine, including this James Brown, who recorded Papa’s Got A Brand New Bag in Charlotte (where I live) in 1967.
I HEAR DYLAN CRASHED HIS MOTORCYCLE. What really happened with that whole thing? I have my theories. One of the twenty dollar sketches I do; you can buy one here, and see all the ones to date here. Subject suggestion: “Bob Dylan.”
JOHN C. REILLY, STEP BROTHER. For the upcoming Stepbrothers show at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles. John C. Reilly has a deceptively hard face to draw, like a guy with a mean face that’s all sweet on the inside.
TOM WAITS. The 150th of my “fourth” sketches, which are basically a drawing on 1/4 of a piece of cream cardstock. You can buy one here, and see all the ones to date here. Subject suggestion for this one was—can you guess??—“Tom Waits.”

I rarely use digital brushes. The very realistic pencil is in fact, a very realistic pencil!
