KUBRICK SELFIE. An “Hour Drawing,” available to purchase here, and the 200+ set of them so far here. Subject suggestion for this one was “Stanley Kubrick scheming.”
I’ll be reopening sales on these drawings, at a slightly increased price, on Monday, May 6. So if you’ve been waiting, get ready—in order to control demand (and workload), I’ll only be taking 10 orders.
Also this week I launched this new print, along with a week long sale.

MASTER BLASTER. An “Hour Drawing,” available to purchase here, and the 200+ set of them so far here. Subject suggestion for this one was “science fiction,’ and my brain wasn’t working well that day, so I just drew my favorite Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome character.
NOTE: while the hour drawings are currently “sold out” while I finish the last batch, I’ll be reopening them  for sale on May 1st, and will take 10 commissions before closing them again. So if you’ve been waiting, mark your calendars. They’ll go up to $85 per—I’m trying to find the right price where they sell at the right speed.

THANK GOD IT’S WONKA!  An “Hour Drawing,” available to purchase here, and the 200+ set of them so far here. Subject suggestion for this one was “Willy Wonka (Gene Wilder version).”
I’ll tell you a secret, Willy Wonka has always given me the creeps. I’ve never watched it again since the first time. Only The Wizard of Oz gives me THE SHIVERS more.

KILLER KLOWN. An “Hour Drawing,” available to purchase here, and the 200+ set of them so far here. Subject suggestion for this one was “Killer Klowns From Outer Space.” Usually I would have turned this one down—I’ve never seen the movie, or even know much/anything about it, but I was incredibly late with it and the buyer was very patient, so I decided to honor the original request, and I’m pretty surprised at how well it turned out. *examines fingernails*

UNCLE BUCK. One of the one-hour drawings I’ve been doing, available for purchasing by you right here. All the ones thus far are here. Subject suggestion for this one was “John Candy.” Secret that I will share between us, only us: I have never seen Uncle Buck. Not even a little bit of it.

2001.
One of the twenty dollar sketches I do; you can buy one here, and see all the ones to date here. Subject suggestion: “2001”.

I WATCHED INDIE GAME THE MOVIE

image

This was a movie that I found absorbingly frustrating, both for what it included and the many many things it omitted. Full explanation on my blog.

C.H.U.D.stin Harbin. Everyone’s been changing their Twitter avatars and screennames for Halloween, so I thought I’d do the same. I’m on Twitter as @dustinharbin, although my name might appear as a chilling acronym until after Halloween.

JOHN C. REILLY, STEP BROTHER. For the upcoming Stepbrothers show at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles. John C. Reilly has a deceptively hard face to draw, like a guy with a mean face that’s all sweet on the inside.
You can order your own ink commission here. All the ones thus far are here.
